I have kept this as my own secret but thought that I would share it now with other because I will soon be moving to Peru ...

As many already know I served in the US Army in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and many of the things I have seen and done were not pretty and have affected me in profound ways.

After I returned to the states I was diagoised with PTSD and have received ongoing theripies and medications. It has been under control for about a year now but I am worried that it may manifest itself again at some point in the future. Does anyone here have any knowlege of PTSD support groups or consuling in the Lima area?

Any thoughts or information would be appriciated.

Sorry to hear about your possible ongoing problem. Thanks for all you've given me as an GI.

You may want to check with TravelingChica, I think she has a background in the mental health field. We had a husband and wife team awhile back that may be able to help direct you also. They are no longer in Peru, but may have a connection or two.

Of course you could always send Gord a PM and see who he uses just so you know which Dr.to stay away from.

Best of luck, hope it all works out well for you. I'll do my best to look up the couple from years back as long as they are not lost in space.

Thanks steven. As a fellow vet I know you can relate to the demons I talk about.
