Marines Don'T Like Gomer a funny incident at the Recruing Office

Whe I was contemplating joing the service, one of my first stops was at the Marines Recruiting Center. I went in and told the Gunnie at the desk that I was thinking of joining up ... so he had me do a "pre-test" that involved some basic math, do 13 push ups, and quizzed me on some current events. Then he had me watch several videos showing what the Corps could offer me. Whe that was completed, he took me back to his desk, sat me down and asked me "What do you think of when you think of the Marines?"

Without hesitation I answered "Gomer Pyle" ... and then the interview was over.

My reply would have been "Bad asses"! Dad was a Bad ass! At least I though he was when I was a kid.
