About Me

I have been in love with Peru since I was a boy and lived in Lima from 1973 to 75. My father worked at the embassy for USAID.
I have been back many times over the years and my love for this facinating country has only grown stronger.

I have spent the better part of the last 15 years in the US Army and have participated in the Gulf war of 91, Irag, Somolia, and Afghanistan. It was in Afghanistan where my military career came to an end. I was wounded when a suicide bomber detonated a hand grenade and as a result I lost my left eye. Now I am looking forward to enjoying my retirement in Peru.
